My brutally honest opinion on Nerve (movie, 2016)

I saw Nerve in the cinema last night. It started months ago in the U.S. ,but it just recently started in Germany.

So I guess most of you know what it's about. To all of you who don't:
Nerve is a 2016 American thriller film directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman and written by Jessica Sharzer, based on the 2012 novel of the same name. The film starsEmma RobertsDave Franco and Juliette Lewis, and revolves around an online objective truth or dare video game, which allows people to enlist as "players" or "watchers" as the game intensifies. Players accept dares from watchers, receiving money rewards that increase with the danger of the dare when completed successfully. Well, let's get into my opinion. I watched the movie with a few girl friends and they were obsessed with the storyline and (to me not relatable) Dave Franco. A lot of girls find him attractive, that's probably why so many people watched the movie.
Not gonna lie, Dave Franco and Emma Roberts played their roles really well, but to me the movie itself wasn't that great. You could tell by the beginning what would happen next and how the movie would end.
The movie had a typical love story between Vee (Emma Roberts) and Ian (Dave Franco).

I have to admit that the screenplay was really creative. The movie had a lot of parts that were filmed "through a phone", which really gets to teenagers.

As a conclusion, if you like to watch an easy movie without any depth or you just enjoy popcorn movies, then this movie would be right for you.

I would give the movie a solid 7 on a scale from 1-10.
